Then can you explain how the coach adjust during the game?

You do bring up a good question.
What impact, if any, does a timeout have on a game?
If anything, I've seen team's come back from a timeout with a little bit more poise, taking a shot that makes more sense for their team rather than lofting up a distant 3 as the shot clock expires.
I don't think that it involves a tactic change, though, but perhaps when a team calls timeout, a small nuance of gameplay is shifted. Something like everyone's experience level goes up a couple points for the next 2 or 3 plays so they make better decisions.

thats the problem with the current play by play.. we actually dont know whats happening in the game before a shot is taking place..

I really hope, they improve it.. even just a little bit.

I agree with you.
Even if they just show who has the ball will help.
I could create the Play by Play in my head if I knew where they were on the court.

yup.. that will be great.

Maybe they could use the line-up at the side of the court in the play by play. Whoever has the ball, his named should have a different color, maybe yellow.

Or put a little ball sign.
And have it fading away if they passed it.
So that we know who passed it if you missed a part.

I actually have a theory that, the game engine only takes into account 3 players during a 'play-set'.

So the idea that the game engine says 'PG brings up the ball, passes to SF, who passes back to PG, PG dribbles, then passes to SG who drives and dishes to the SF who drives again and dishes off to the C for the slam' - i dont think this happens.

I won't go into here, because this isnt the right thread, but basically I believe that the game engine is written to basically eliminate any unnecessary calculation from a single offensive set.

At most I believe that 3 offensive players are calculated during an offensive set.

So yer. Whilst i like the suggestion of having a little ball icon follow the ball around the court on the graphic, or whatever, i just don't think it works like that.
