LA + GM = LG "When Officials Meet"

I guess it's the first time that there'll be a Press-Release from the Hamburg Albatrosses in English. But it's going to be a heartfelt one - even if it might not be very long!

LA-Wendell Alexis hasn't met a lot of people in person who've played BB alongside him - apart from his mentor (who was also responsible for him signing up here), former LA and GM LpunktElend. And former LA and GM Acajou (who has unfortunately stopped playing this game). There seems to be a pattern - so it's not the biggest surprise that the next person he met in Person had to be a GM (but also was formerly an EGM and even for a short period a BB). I guess most of you have guessed correctly. We're talking about GM-Perpete. On his way back to France (starting in Munich), it seemed quite logical to make a short trip to the north in order to go south again. And no, it definitely wasn't a detour. Even if it might seem so, looking at the map of Germany. It was just the right way. At least, it felt like that for the Hamburg Albatrosses and it's Manager Wendell Alexis!

Wendell Alexis: "It was a great pleasure to meet such a nice person who, despite of his achievements and outstanding position in this game, is a very unpretentious person. It's great to talk to him, discuss things apart from the game as well as tactics and training methods in the game. But the game has just been a side issue - if you ever get the chance to meet Perpete, you shouldn't think twice and take that chance. You'll be rewarded with meeting a great person and a great time in your home city (or wherever you'll meet him). Thanks again for a great week-end and have a good journey back home! Merci beaucoup et bon voyage!!"

It was nice to meet you and your family, see you city.

Looking at the answers here made me look at my own last press blog. It was made in the Summer of 2012, even earlier than your last press blog :)
