Da Dawgs fans are pissed! After 11 seasons in DIII.13, the team had to push the reset button. While there were some successful moments, only a couple seasons showed real promise of getting promoted. Management decided that the coaching staff had whined about the difficulty of the league for long enough and allowed the team to demote. The initial hope was that Da Dawgs would fall into a complete bot league and breeze back to DIII in a season - however, that's not what happened. It appears that D.IV.50 has some players! The coaching staff and players are looking forward to seeing new teams, hopefully the fans eventually come back . . . we will be having nickel beer nights every weekend in hopes of attracting fans.
There are some interesting things to look forward to on the court. First, the team is looking at a number of new players to come in and help. We will see where the personnel decisions end up. We have a couple new coaches on the staff to help with training, and there are some milestones to look forward to in the coming weeks. David Dunning will likely play his 200th competitive game for the team this season, which is the most of any player in team history. Max Moullec is second with 169 games entering the season. Max has 1299 career rebounds, which puts him 70 behind Preston Troutman for the all time team leader. Max is also 3rd on the all time blocked shots list with 170, chasing Rudor Hoxha's 190 and Troutman's 204. Max and David are also entering the season as the 3rd and 5th all time scorers. We wish both players all the best in chasing those records.
