Greetings everyone.

It is a privilege to be voted as the next U21 manager of our great nation. As stated in my speech, my goal is to hit the top 50 world ranking and to help guide these players in terms of their training so that hopefully one day, they could become stars in the NT team.

Scouting for an initial roster will begin shortly and their managers will be notified via BB-mail on the successful appointment of their player. With that being said, if you have an U21 player who may make the team or need help with a training plan, please do not hesitate me.

This season we will play in the U21 Asian Games where we play Australia first. Other top nations in our group include Taiwan and Iran. I am looking for a top 4 finish in the group stage so that we can hopefully go to the next round.

Again, I wish you great success for your team and hopefully I can deliver with some U21 success.

Cheers.

Greetings again.

Scouting for an initial roster is completed and a squad of 13 players has been selected. We have returning players: Clint Ward, Harvey Piper, Neerim Larbi and Jimmy Jackson, as well as new faces who are eager to make a name for themselves. Only 4 of the 13 players are aged 21 this season, meaning that we will see many return for our campaign in season 49.

I am proud to announce that our co-captains for the campaign this season are Harvey Piper (24 games in NZ colours) and Clint Ward (23 games in NZ colours). They will be leading out the team every game to hopefully bring success to our nation.

Our first game is against Australia where scouting has already begun.

Cheers.

Good stuff. I got rid of my one potential U21er, but I will be following the U21 season closely. Good luck.

New Zealand (80) vs Australia (108) (53462)

A disappointing, yet expected 28 point loss against a strong Australian team to start the season.

Game Analysis:
The decision to play patient was purely a tactical one as I really wanted to give our scoring players more chances of shooting at the basket than others. Josh Cockayne fouling out really hurt us later in the game and will be something I review. The second quarter for us was disappointing though we came out in the third quarter refreshed after half time. A great game where I will be taking many positives from as we march on to our next game against Iran.

Key Players:
1. Jimmy Jackson: 30 points and 8 rebounds from the SG position.
2. Clint Ward: 17 points and 17 rebounds from the PF position.
3. Neerim Larbi: 8 rebounds, 6 assists from the SF position.

Next Game:
Against Iran who won their first game quite comfortably against Lubnan.

New Zealand (86) vs Iran (92) (53465)

Unhappy with our 6 point loss to Iran, though the injury to Harvey Piper really costed us the game.

Game Analysis:
The injury to Harvey Piper, as well as an incorrect focus GDP really hurts. The decision to go with an inside GDP was due to the fact that Harvey Piper was injured where they might have exposed us inside. The trend of our two games so far is that we were slow getting started. 4 out of 5 of our starters getting fouled out is also disappointing. On another day, with Harvey Piper, this game should've been a win for us.

Key Players:
1. Jimmy Jackson: 31 points and 7 assists from the SG position.
2. Clint Ward: 22 points and 8 assists from the SF position.
3. Josh Cockayne: 16 points and 6 rebounds from the PG position.

Next Game:
Against India where we should hopefully expect Harvey Piper to return to our side.

New Zealand (105) vs India (91) (53469)

An important 14 point win against India.

Game Analysis:
Our game plan went well. Our starters really got going quickly which helped to get some early buckets to have a 13 point lead after the first quarter. John Maurice really stood out, shooting 3s off the bench, where at one point had 6 points after playing only for one minute. We rebounded well given the circumstance we're in without Harvey Piper, keeping the opponent C quiet the whole game. Overall, a great win to get us going.

Key Players:
1. Jimmy Jackson: 33 points and 8 assists from the SG position.
2. Josh Cockayne: 22 points and 5 assists from the PG position.
3. Clint Ward: 18 points and 14 rebounds from the PF position.

Next Game:
Against Taiwan where it should be a good challenge for us.

New Zealand (75) vs Taiwan (132) (53471)

A 57 point loss against powerhouses Taiwan.

Game Analysis:
They ended the game well, whereas we didn't. The stats don't lie - they scored 49% of their field goals, to our 30%. They more than doubled our rebounding stat and passed efficiently with 26 assists and only 7 turnovers, compared to our 9 assists and 5 turnovers. This game really shows how important game shape is to every player and it is important that every player plays at least 48 minutes for your team.

Key Players:
1. Jimmy Jackson: 33 points, 2 steals and 2 assists from the SG position.
2. Clint Ward: 21 points and 9 rebounds from the PF position.
3. Mirko Elliot: 10 points and did somewhat defensively well from the SF position.

Next Game:
Against Lubnan where we should expect a win.

New Zealand (117) vs Lubnan (107) (53475)

Not as comfortable as I would have though but a 10 point win none the less to end 2019 and the decade.

Game Analysis:
They outrebounded us and had more chances to score. Though our team had a better shooting accuracy which ultimately won us the game. We passed the ball well, picking up 30 assists (Jimmy Jackson with half of them) and only turning over the ball 7 times. Ultimately, though it is a win, our team needs to be performing better in order to compete with other nations in our continent.

Key Players:
1. Jimmy Jackson: 16 points and 15 assists from the SG position.
2. Harvey Piper: 24 points and 12 rebounds from the C position.
3. Josh Cockayne: 24 points and 4 assists from the PG position.

Next Game:
Against TBD as it will be a scrimmage for us.

New Zealand (50) vs Saudi Arabia (0) (53481)

A forfeit from Saudi Arabia gives us a default win.

Game Analysis:
N/A due to forfeit.

Key Players:
N/A due to forfeit.

Next Game:
Against TBD. After Iran's win against India, it confirms our spot in the next round of the Asia U21 Championship Tournament.
After last nights result from all teams, it looks like the nations we will be in a group with are: Philippines, Hanguk, Taiwan, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Obviously going into the next stage will be a good chance for us to compete with "statistically" harder nations in our continent as we look to grow our team for the seasons to come.

New Zealand (81 vs Malaysia (122) (54065)

A huge 41 point loss against Malaysia to start off our journey in the second round of the Asia U21 Championship Tournament.

Game Analysis:
A huge factor that factored into the big point differential was the GDP guesses that I got wrong. I made it based on the trends of the offenses they had played so far in this tournament, as well as in the past. It was my fault and I will own up to it. We ended the game well, scoring 30 points and only conceding 32 in the 4th quarter. Both Clint Ward and Harvey Piper led in the scoring for our team and did their job fantasically throughout the night. Malaysia were just a better team and deserved the win.

Key Players:
1. Clint Ward: 23 points and 7 rebounds from the PF position.
2. Harvey Piper: 16 points and 11 rebounds from the C position.
3. Neerim Larbi: 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists from the SF position.

Next Game:
Against Indonesia. A team that have been continental semi finalists in three occasions in the past.
