Hi everyone,

Here they are..

Our opponents in the the asian tournament calendar.

Next monday we´ll face Japan (Nippon).

They are in position 40 but renewal of the team didn´t bring them good news. They lost two strong centers and it seems they gonna be a more balanced team. Murayama (44500910) and Miyake (44500931) are their key players and for being our first opponent it´s gonna be a tight match, where details really worth it´s price.
coachlambini from USA is their new coach, with no previous experience, will take care of the "rising sun nation" young players.

Stay tuned !

First match ... first win!

Our little lions began their path in Asian Tournament with a victory against Japan. Final scoreboard was 101-86.

1st quarter made the difference where SGP did homework and was totally focused on drilling low post making Japan's biggie fouled out in only 9 MINUTES.
Second one increased the gap to his maximum (+21) with our team playing their posessions carefully.

On the second half, SGP strength decreased driving the ball slowly and smart and reading the zone to secure the win. Last quarter was Japan's best but "rising sunnies" never looked to be in game as the gap didn't reduced enough to give them some hope.

Man of the match:
Nathaniel Jidang (44589263)

Phanto Mech`s PF amazingly assumed his re-positioning to avoid Japan`s internal men. With a mixed shot selection around the painted area made his 41 minutes on the court really worth it.

These are his final stats
41 min - 28 pts (13/19 FG 0.684) - 19 reb - 3 ast.

Next monday, we`ll face Viet Nam in another challenge for our U21.

Stay tuned!

Woah congrats man!
Didn't expect Jidang to have such a performance, and what more at SF instead of as a big man.
Good call bro. All the best for the next game!

Next opponent: Viet Nam
Ranked: 64th
Match day: nov 12th 6:30 PM

When german LarryLiter thought about coaching Viet Nam, never imagined that he should recruit a whole traditional family: The Nguyêns.

Vietnamese constitution proclaims that every Nguyên men under 21 must join BuzzerBeater NT, no matter their skills.
Brothers, cousins, nephews, not one, not two, not five but.. EIGHT playing for the yellow star honor.

Viet Nam didn't played in 1st gameday, at least officially. They lost in a scrimmage against Colombia showing their lack of defense but a respectable outside offense. Our Lions won last monday and wanna make a 2 winning-streak for the first time in a long time.

Join us and support our little lions!

Second match and.. WE WON AGAIN!

Our guys were really confident about wiining this one, after scouting Viet Nam and being noticed about their GS. Tactics were right too and simplified a game that was not so clear in advance even though there was a minimum difference in our favor.
As last week's, 3rd Q was our worst and Viet Nam reduced the gap but after receiving some yelling from the coach, our little lions went back to the court and finished the job with no trouble.

Man of the match:

Chau Kiong Chi (46168469)

Took his chance playing in the wing, receiving most of the assists from the guard. He was also very participative in defensive teamwork. We've got another homegrown value here and he's making good progress to be one of our best-talented player in the future.

His final stats:

42 min - 36 pts (16/29 FG 0.551) - 8 reb - 4 ast - 3 blk - 2 stl
