Hi everyone! I'm starting the Thread for this new season.

First of all, I want to say thank you to all who voted me. For the others no worries, because I have started a collaboration with Miighty Monkey. Also Bergkamp is still present, so my hopes are high.

We've started scounting young talent and building the team. Soon we will write to the managers for training advice.
Until that, train defense please:)

On Monday first match vs Moldova, the lowest ranked in our group, we need a good starting victory.

U21 Moldova 78 - 113 U21 England (48435)

We've started with a victory, fortunately was an easy one and we had the chance to rotate all 11 players which we had selected for the match. Six of them in double digit with a good contribution from the bench.

A thanks must be given to the managers, because in most of the cases gave the player a great game shape, and
to Miighty Monkey and Bergkamp to whom I spoke before the match for some consulting.

The following matches will be crucial to see where we would be in this group.

Update: Senior England team losted, but saving enth. I didn't see the match but seems a close one.

Even considering the opposition it was nice to see so many steals and blocks by our team. Well played.

The senior team were in one of those games where we've done the only thing that makes sense, and the opponents haven't. That's up to them of course but its a bit of a suicide mission by them in the sense that both teams lose really. Nothing Vecx could have done differently, he had to save enth as you pointed out.

U21 England 110 - 81 U21 Andorra (48437)

Second win in another quite easy match, thanks to a good game shape of almost the entire squad and the outside offense against the 2-3 zone.

Positive things: 43.3% from 3pts (with all the 3 starting outside players around 20 points) and a total of 29 team assists against 9 turnovers.

From the next one is going to start the real competition.

Also Senior England team won against Makedonija (48746)

Did you see his percentages in the first 2 games?
7/13 and 9/12 , that’s great!

U21 Sakartvelo 84 - 91 U21 England (48443)

Third win in the first close match we had so far in the group! After 3 balanced quarters we took a small margin in the 4th, that led us to the victory. It was a good and important win, also considering the difference in the attitude of the game (TIE vs CRUNCH).

The most postive thing is that our players are still growing well, thanks to the great work the GM are doing, indeed our rating are greater match after match. All the players brought something good, with 4 players in double digit and a good contribution from the bench. We had some players around 20 points (Loughran 20p, Barral 18p+12r) and it is needed a mention to our starting PG that almost had a triple double with 8p-10as-11r.

Our group is split with 4 undefeated teams and 4 teams with 0 wins. In the next round we will face the competitive Greece, we will need a win to remain in the upper side of the group!

I didn't actually notice the crunch. Well played. Squad looks decent.

Senior NT lost to extra effort again. We're in that group of countries who if they want to qualify and do well in the next stage need to hold on to their enthusiasm which leaves us vulnerable to those just a bit below us who only have the ambition of winning a couple of games a season.

Yup

We lost by 1, struggling for shape on a few key players. We’ve lost some significant stats on some older ones too. Bit of bad luck.
