Time for the annual preseason poll. For the past 4 or 5 seasons, the quality of the Great 8 has outpaced the Big 8. This season looks no different. With that said, here are your preseason power rankings based on the current rosters.

Championship Contenders

1. Tallahassee Trees - The results weren't quite what we expected last season from a mainstay of III.1, but Laron's results and roster speak for themselves.
2. PV Pride - This team should be competitive, if for no other reason than the bloated team salary.
3. GoZags - Underrated team and manager, with a plethora of young, quality players. With the age of his players, he's poised to promote in the next season or two.
4. D City Smokers - tnjay's revamped roster, combined with his stud trainee Cole, should keep him in contention for the next few seasons.

Solid, not Spectacular

5. Diamantes - Solid team. Solid manager. The lack of youth and the prevalence of age will make it tough for him as the season progresses.
6. Mighty Spartans - See Diamantes.
7 Burlington Orbitals - Playoff team in the Big 8. Unfortunately, he's not in the Big 8.
8. Missouri City Sounders - Fighting relegation in the Great 8. Fortunately, he's not in the Great 8.
9. Deportivo Saprissa - A. Sizemore is a great manager. The roster is not quite there yet, but i'm sure he'll climb the rankings as he builds his roster.
10. Fair Where Foes - See Burlington Orbitals.

The Jury's Out

11. Florida Champs - Bobbanana's coffers are loaded, but the roster is incomplete. Until then....

Everyone Else

12. Sandy Springs Basketball Club - Hank the Bank is the man, even if his roster is mediocre.
13. Swamp People - There's potential here, especially with those trainees.
14. UofDallas - I'm tired, it's late.....

Future Bot

15. Blood Kings - Longtime manager with a great roster. Unfortunately, he hasn't logged in in 3 weeks.
16. Georgia Heat

So, i guess my club is predicted to compete for the 4th and final playoff spot. Behind tenn/PV/ and whoever the other team was again, i haven't memorized all the teams in this league yet lol.
Should be fun, looking forward to the season!

Trying something a little different here:

Older players for this year, and maybe next.
Then drop them, for cash.
Build up my younger players on the squad in the D-league (sorta speak) games that don't count or mean to much.
Roll the roster over with perhaps better (young) players 22 tops with extra cash.
#TrustTheProcess
We've been here b4 minnesota, not exactly D.111.4 BUT we've done something similar to this in the past, and it worked out for us. Unfortunately those players have aged. Would of been nice to have moved up sooner, but it is what it is.

I should’ve waited a day to do my write-up. Looks like we may have a new favorite!

I don't know how will that plain is gunna work here. I just know it worked in higher leagues. Like i know my younger players aren't ready for the big leagues, so i always use them in non-seasonal games for 2-3 seasons. Drop my older players for like i said, 22 and younger players. The players who have got me to this part, are now all in their 30's besides Ed. I was hoping to have won sooner, that way i wouldn't have to do the whole process over again.
There's alot of good competition here, and i can't wait to get the season started! Btw i bid on those players a few days ago, so i wasn't sure if i was gunna get them or not. These are the guys we are gunna run with for the next couple seasons. I'm not one of those managers that hires players for the playoff push (not that there is anything wrong with that!)

One thing im not thinking about my team is, i feel like were a little 2 heavy on the post, and light on guards, so hopefully we can stay healthy in that area.

Once again, good luck to everybody!!!

We’ll see. Depends how the unit glues together, sort of put together the idea last second. Definitely a championship or bust type of season, full rebuild if I can’t pull it off this season..
