I think these finals are going to be more evenly matched than appears on the surface.

Tucumcari is a legit team, and on top of that has an enthusiasm edge going into the Finals. The betting line should have Tucumcari as the favorite.

If he had HCA, he’d be the favorite, simply due to his nasty trainees. As it is, I think it’s a toss-up. You deserve it after the season you just had, though.

It won't be a rout. Both teams have excellent managers and rosters.

Chewbacca has the twin towers and a stud guard. Hamel is the best player in the league by a mile. There isn't a whole lot of depth, though.

Tucumcari is going to be outmatched inside, but he has 3 well-rounded guard trainees that are as good as or better than Padgett. I'd be willing to bet they're all at 110+ TSP.

The two teams' salaries are relatively equal, but the salaries of Tucumcari's trainees are probably $60k+ higher combined than what he's paying. If Tucumcari wins, he's set up perfectly to promote again to the NBBA in a season or two with those trainees. Pretty phenomenal planning and execution if he pulls it off.

Congrats to ozone on a league title! Well-deserved. I was hoping bsopchak would win, as I'm tired of getting my butt kicked by him. Good luck to everyone next season!

Thanks. Both games were very tight, and I'm happy my trainees had developed just enough to let me pull it off. Thanks everyone for the good competition the past few seasons. I think this has been the most competitive D3 league I've been in, and I wish you all the best.

Turns out game shape and defense matter. Who knew?

Good game Whalers. My backups aged out at the wrong time, leaving Karp playing too many minutes. It might be a while before I have a shot at a championship again.
