I'm thinking it's safe to assume most Team Owners do focused training on specific positions or position groups and right around time for the playoffs to begin, those teams that are a virtual lock for the Semis or the Finals are typically focusing on training Game Shape to ensure their players are in peak shape.
However, I am curious about those that train Free Throws and/or Stamina?
There are obvious benefits to training those categories. High Stamina means the player's decline in their skills in-game will not be as bad. What's the benefit to having an All World Talent on your roster that can only play at a high level in short bursts vs a player that plays at a high level for longer periods?
Same goes for Free Throws. If you have a star player that is a fantastic scorer as long as he's moving freely on the court, how many potential wins are you giving up by their lack of ability to shoot while standing still? Shaquille O'Neal is not an example I'm aiming for as his only real skill was being 7'3" and 350-lbs (just yanking the chain of Shaq fans out there). He was brutal in the paint but his free throws were atrocious. But what if Steph Curry, who is basically a quick-scope sniper on the court, or Klay Thompson, an elite sniper as well .... what if they were atrocious at the free throw line?
So anyways, back to my question. Are there any teams out there that are dedicated to team training Free Throws and/or Stamina?
