Hi everyone. I'm trying to train an 18 y/o PG at the moment, and it's going well. He's being trained along with two others, but I really want to focus on getting him where he needs to be. He has Star potential and is 188 cm; not great, but doable. Here are his current stats:

4 5
9 7
7 6
3 3
1 6

I'm not sure when to stop his growth and focus on new players, but I'd think that training for another 3.5 seasons would be good. Just not sure what to really make sure I focus on; I know PA, HA and OD are essential, just not sure where to put those in relation to other skills. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

188cm is not a problem
You could do some 1on1 PG,SG. That is gonna help you with driving and handling a and also with JS because it is little bit too low. You can add some JS training too. Later on you can start with some passing when your HA and DR are little bit higher than right now

So specifically, what numbers should I be working toward? I agree with that, just not sure what his cap is.

I didn't check BB manager, but I guess PG with star potential could be something similar to that...

13 / 10
13 / 13
13 / 13
4 / 7
4 / 6

Give him some training for Rebound and ID...

I don't think he can be close to those guard skills.

My star potential 20 y old is currently:
9 8
9 10
10 8
9 8
7 4

Unless his ID / IS / reb are massively influencing things then I can only get his OD to 12 and passing to 10 then he's at 90-100% of his potential.

Alternatively I can push js / jr / od and passing all to 10 and then he's at 91-100 again.

Not sure what I fancy making him from here but the low potential definitely makes you think about things more carefully...

Well it is really about what you want to make out that player but with that potential it is little harder to get him some pops inside. You would have to sacrifice a bit out of those outside skills , but like someone above me said you could use some one on one SF/PF training to get that IS up. But since you are pretty much new to this game and you are in division IV, you will be just fine focusing primarly on those outside skills and get you a solid guard with that potential.

Is this entirely unrealistic? It would be something similar to this under my current training plan.
