When I read the post game box scores, there's one column I don't understand...it says +/-
What's that mean?

Basically, it's like this. At the start of the game, your +/- is at 0. Whenever your opponent scores, your player's +/- decreases by 1 and whenever your team scores, your player's +/- increases by 1. Of course, this works vice versa for your opponent.

It's a good way to assess how your players play with each other within a certain scheme.

When I first learned about plus/minus, it was applied to hockey. Never realized the differences in BB. Plus, I don't recall saying someone on the bench is affected. Delete my response if you wish.

Well, goals in hockey are only worth 1 point. Field goals in basketball can be worth 1 (free throw), 2, or 3 points.
