Has anybody ever tried to build a team around a very dominant Insideplayer? Some kind of Stan van Gundy offense...

a big who could look like this (not a top tier player but a good possible build for a superstar/MVP trainee.)

12 8
8 15
16 13
16 14
14 14

and then good Shooters/all aroundplayers at the other Positions? Does it work? You don't have the bonus of a top defender at C, which you have if you just play outside with a Shotblocking Monster, but you don't give up the easy Insidebaskets.. I think it could be a very good option for managers who like Shooting teams. You could even play OI, Standard or LP if you want to vary with the tactics some..

I don't mean pure shooters but players like this, just an example...

PG: 14 - 13 - 16 - 15 - 15 - 14 - 10 - 8 - 4 - 8
SG: 17 - 15 - 15 - 15 - 15 - 12 - 10 - 8 - 4 - 8
SF: 16 - 15 - 14 - 15 - 15 - 11 - 13 - 12 - 10 - 11
PF: 14 - 12 - 10 - 13 - 13 - 10 - 13 - 13 - 13 - 13
C..: 12 - 8 - 8 - 15 - 16 - 13 - 16 - 14 -14 -14

they can shoot, but they are well rounded Players with good passing all around.

Thats why Stan van Gundys Teams suck. If he had a good passing big who can "Drive" it may work. He just needs the player I described

Maybe DeMarcus Cousins. Or Twons in a few years. but nevertheless, its BB I want to discuss. Fortunately I have such a player, I am just wondering if it is worth a try to buy some good Comboguards who can make this tacticdream happen?

Does anyone has experiences/ theories on this? If not I will just try it when my Centerpiece will turn 32. I will buy some good shooters and give him some duncanstyle experience before fathertime..

With a team as described above you can play a lot tactics imho. It looks very well-rounded and should offer to play a lot of tactics successfully except LI probably. Princeton would also work well, I think. Or any other tactic that makes good use of high passing through out the whole team.

Maybe this is off topic but Inside Iso helps me compensate my PF's (28787117) low IS with his shooting ability. To me, ISO inside doesn't mean you have a player who thinks "I am a big man and I have so much IS that means I am the team's focal point in this offense". Instead, it is that my big man being isolated gets the first touch because that's how the offense works, then it works from there. Getting isolated mid-range and beyond lets him make use of his shooting ability against very low outside defense C-PF. Patient will not give me the same result -- the best shooter will still shoot more regardless of how much difference of shooting ability and defense a better matchup has. Also has good passing to get the ball moving around if is up against unfavorable matchups. For many seasons I observe that I get more jumpshots for him in this offense. He'd work the same way in Motion which I will avoid if I am up against very strong resistance in the backcourt.

I have a point forward type of player with low IS but high DR/HA/PA and he performs quite well in inside iso at a big spot
