I am not talking raw profit dollars, but the percentage made

IE currently my expenses are 218,260 income 250,944 profit 32734, which equals about 13.1% margin, the league average came out to about 42k but the margin league wide was 12.6%.

These figures beg the question, can you maximize profit margin without sacrificing volume?

31,5% but could improve to around 50% if I did not waste a fortune on scouting and staff

311k-234k=77k, 77k/311k=24,8%. Not bad, before my last transfer I was able even to go over 30%.

Some questions for you b/c I'm new here

By profit, are you talking about merchandise? What is profit margin and how is it calculated?

referring to the overall percentage from ticket and merch sales. divide your outgoing expenses by income received and that gives you the margin.

divide your outgoing expenses ($ 211 054) by income received ($ 321 299) and that gives you the margin.

34% profit margin, if I was at the salary floor it would be closer to 47%. I'm overpaying my staff a little but it's not worth it to buy new ones yet. At least, that's what I tell myself. Ok, I'm lazy. I'm too lazy to buy new staff. I admit it. Are you happy? I hope you're happy.

I did misspeak, now THATS margin. And the micro's wonder why people want them annexed, merged, turned into rump states or whatever the flavor of the week is on that front.

I think i have a high profit margin for a non-tanking II. div. team in a large nation:

$ 128 183 / $ 411 740 = 0,31

I could even sell my 30k Center any time... as I tried to the last few weeks..
but my league isn't very strong, my team is quite good for its salary and I make around 90k merch, which is nearly 1,5x as much as the average in my league...

/btw. I wouldn't consider the profit margin a key factor in succes or something. It is not that you invest something or have the chance to invest in another business. f.e. if my profit margin is much smaller in league II than in league III, but I make 100k absolute profit instead of 50k, the first option would be much better..
