So I decided to tank this season away, my second season in D.III. I found a great 5/5 A+ early which was my notice to leave early. The other last place team had declared he was going bot this season, and I figured nobody would replace him because of someone did, the money earned in D.III would arguably allow this new team to do well next season if he had an idea of what to do.

Today our draft happened, and he ended up with the 5/5 A+. I know the bot team still could've gotten him, but that's a 1/48 chance. Why can teams get started in D.III? To me it's a huge advantage and basically puts this guy, who's played for 10+ seasons less than me, right where I am. Sure my arena may be larger, but that's just about all I have. I just find this absurd that this guy came in 3/4 to the season and now with the money from the draftee, will probably finish top 4 in his D.IV if he wants to compete. I just feel like that this guy got a free pass to a good amount of money, and I know part of this is because of the salt of my draft expierence but still

Not a good situation and I sympathise. I was already against new teams being placed in higher divisions (mostly because they're doomed from the start and therefore likely to leave) but this is just another reason why it isn't a good idea.

Exactly. It just didn't make much sense to me when I saw him get in the league & really frustrates me now

I never said I didn't, I messed up on the first game of the season and won. My poijt is the for the future, things like this shouldn't happen

Maybe this new team will go bot anyways and you can buy this Player later on.

While I agree with you completely about the new teams starting in D. III aspect.

At the same time, this serves as a good story to show that tanking is not always a better option. Right now tanking is too good of an option for most people and rewards them unfairly compared to new managers that just come in.
