Quick question.

I know there is no % sign by training Jump Shot for Forwards, but is it still as effective as training it for Guards? Is there any difference between what is trained for the two of them?

Jump Shot for Forwards trains JS, IS and to a much lessor extent, JR. It is not a bad option if you need JS and IS but don't really need the HD or DR of One-On-One forwards as it trains those two a bit faster. The JR increase is very small (something like 0.07 per training for an 18 year old).

Just to addon, this is the best way IMHO to put IS on short players. A lot of people use 1v1 F to put IS on guards, but trains DR and HA at equal levels. That's OK if you have a guy with low HA but 1v1 G might be better for salary reasons because it trains more DR than HA

Yeah I'm actually in a bit of a weird situation where I'm doing anything I can to keep IS off of my players. At the moment I'm working on my bigs outside skills and was hoping that this training set would allow me to train JS without any IS pops while leaving them at PF during real games. But for the build I'm looking at I'll take the hit and play them at SG if it means I can keep their IS low.

Can you afford salary wise more HA/DR? The Training Project data says that 1v1 G trains the same amount of JS as JS G for tall players with significantly more HA/DR.

Yeah their handling isn't at a point where it's going to affect their salary for a bit. I'd also like their driving to be as high as possible.

Yeah I would totally do 1v1 Guard instead.

That's what I've been doing for the last few weeks. The only reason I had to deviate was the possibility of getting JS pops while playing my two German bigs at PF. I just wanted to make sure they wouldn't pop in IS if I chose to do that for a week or two

ah k, you may risk it with both 1v1 F and JS-F.

Good to know. I'll stick to 1v1 guards then and just hope that the cross training and any elastic effect that desperately wants their IS to rise won't give them more than a pop in the category. If all goes well they should be able to defend against NBBA caliber bigs with a salary of around 70-80k
