Hi folks,

I may get first pick in the next draft and I`m wondering if anybody has a method as to how I can find the very best player in the draft via combines, interviews etc. I`m just looking to find the very best player in the draft so if anybody would like to share any thoughts that they have then I would be incredibly greatful

Many thanks in advance.

I'm going with maximum investment 4x16=56 points per season, I spend them all the day scouting is enabled.

I do combine 10 pts, demo 10 pts, then scout all the 18y olds. That leaves me some 10pts or so to interview with 5 ball 18y olds.

Basically, I don't use the new features, since you still need 3pts to discover potential.

I'm looking for both top starting skills and potential, I want to draft a franchise player and NT star.

If I wasn't my tactic would be to reveal all skills, 50pts, and take the players with best starting skills, regardless of potential, then train them to be salary efficient.

Thanks for the great advice. I don`t have the draftees available either, I`m still waiting.

It depends on how many skill points you have before the draft. Without knowing I cannot give the best advice.

@ Aleksandar, you realize you spend 640k per season on draftees who you can get for cheaper on the transfer list right? Or are really wanting that homegrown player? Please be careful to give such advice to people asking, because it's a very bad one financially speaking. It's understandable if you're training to make a home-grown team, but if that's not the goal of the person asking it's not proper advice. No offense intended.

I agree hacking homegrown players is better, but if it comes at the price of 640k per season solely on scouting points I say your really need to think hard wether that's worth it. You won't find an mvp draftee every season so that's a lot of money. Money that new teams can much better use on the arena for example, or some veterans that help with wins.

Yes, it's not financially good to invest this heavy. But it's the only option in my case, first because I'm in a micronation, so I can afford it, second because I'm in a micronation, so my country need the draftees. Other people usually destroy good draftees they find. You can find an example on the transfer list now.

Also, I don't see many alternatives to the two ways of scouting I proposed. Draft is a lottery, and I feel investing less points per draft would be a waste. If I was in the lower leagues, I would probably invest 140k per season, then scout every second season with the same tactics I'm using now.

If you can propose alternatives, I'm happy to hear.
