Ok, so afaik fan survey affects the attendance.. but it just seems so random?! Last night i had 5x5 stars, 3x4,5 and 1x3stars (personal best so far) and my attendance compared to a week before fell.. i won by 99 points and over the night, balls fell again.

The main concern though is, how to take care of the "I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred"?! It seems so random. My star player was raised in my team, most other players are in the team for at least one full season now. And it went from 3 stars yesterday down to 2,5 today.

What's up wit that?

But still, i played vs 5th placed team in red group and had over 18k people attending, yesterday I played vs 5th placed in blue group and 14k people attended with highest balls so far. In between i won all games, even against rivals for top spots and still dropped this hard.

And how do I deal with low balls for stars on my team? Is it totally random or..?

If it's just a drop from 3 stars to 2,5 and you didn't sell or buy any player, then it's just because of a different sample from the total population. For example, say the true value of it is 2.75, on time a sample might show 2.5 the other time it might show 3.0. It could even be 2.5 and show up as 3 one time and 2 the other time. There's not much you can do about it except keeping a steady roster, preferably with players from your own country. Otherwise I wouldn't worry too much about.

The fan survey seems even more un-explainable this season than before. For example, my "I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred" has been at 1 ball I think all season (didn't check it early on) and just gone up to 1.5 balls, yet I've sold only 1 player in 3 months and that was last season

My thought on this (as a user, no inside knowledge) is that we in general aren't treating that as two separate conditions and maybe that causes confusion. I think the "familiar with star players" part would be best approximated by sorting your players by salary and then looking at how long the highest salary players have been on your team, while the "am not afraid that they will be transferred" is the part about how many higher salary players you've sold recently. So not only does selling off higher-end players lower that value a bit, but if you fortify your roster with higher-end players, that may also lower this value somewhat as the fans are not familiar with those players initially.

Of course, I've done absolutely no research on any of that, so I wouldn't give what I say any more weight than any other anecdotal findings of any other user.

I agree with your explanation. I tend to have a team with most of the players home-drafted, and between 3 to 4 bought players. Each time i had to buy a player it had an impact on my team (high salary, instant starter), once i went as low as 2 balls when I added a new top salary even with 8 or 9 home-drafted players.

Could be.. my star n.1 player with highest salary has been around since he was 18, though my PG is new this season as well as 1st center is new, though all other players are the same, so balls are 3-3,5.. could be due to 2 new starters i guess.
