Are all 48 draftees randomized throughout the list, or are the star projections a good guide? The reason I ask, in my one draft (I joined after last season's all-star break) I went from the top down uncovering info, and found the actual skill levels (1-5 stars) evenly distributed among the 4 and 5-star projections. So am I just as likely to find a 5-star player among the 1-star projections, or are the projections slightly accurate?

They are randomised. Yuo can find a 5/5 18 y.o player, covered by only one ball.

I wish they were even slightly accurate like you assume, but from just my own anecdotal experience I think it is completely random.

Case in point, I just spent 10 scouting points on the Group Demonstration (the only points I'm spending all season), and of the 19 players that were "rated" 1-2 balls, I have found six 5-ball players (hello, draft options #1-6).

How you spend your points is up to you, but until you've got some information about them, just assume they are random, and the "pretend" rating isn't worth relying on. For what it's worth, in my case, after I list the 5-ball and 4-ball players, I'll be picking some favourite numbers of mine and putting them at the top of my draft order.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Just get the Group Demo instead of going from the top down, and conserve draft points!

and also the numbers arent always evenly distributed either.

So the initial distribution is even, but that isnt always the case once the actual star rating is revealed.
