If you have a 18-19 year old prospect go for at least competent - if you are training stamina, ft, gs no difference. A basic trainer will train a player slightly faster than a minimal one.

If you want the best result for the best price, then advanced trainers are the way to go. They are affordable for everyone and have the best cost to pop ratio.
