Older players lose skills faster because they are, of course, older. So a 38yo will degrade faster then 33yo.
Game shape does not have anything to do with skills drop and a trainer speciality kicks in without consideration of minutes.

Exactly lol...I think he is a little confused eheh. But are you sure about those afirmations, did you try that yourself? I thought all players decreased at same speed after 33 years.

I have two 33 yo. players, their skills have not dropped once this season. On the other hand, I have two players who are 38 and 40 yo. and their skills have dropped 4 and 7 in the last 2 months.

He is dropping bombs on us :D

I did not conduct any study, that's just my experience as a long time NT coach. It depends from player to player but usually older ones lose much more skills. Had a few older Cs and SGs in my team and NT, lost 1-3 skills when they had 33-34 and then they started losing 6-7+ skills per season after that.
One more observation, again from my experience, RB and HA/DR often started to drop first.

Exactly. I can understand them if they wont accept our side about dropskill because they never experience that. Thats why they asking. But the best to answer is try to have oldies then the answer is there. Hehe

Melo, try to experience. I undertand you. Like what i was saying i hav 39yo in my team now you can scout him if you want. :) if what the 39yo can do to the youngster even he is old. But the skill is hidden. Remember that. Hehe

older players will decrease their skills much faster. 33 yo decrease, but very slowly. you can spend a whole season without a drop on a 33yo. from 34 on, it gets downhill dramatically. some skills drop faster too, from my experience i can tell Jump Shot is very hard to keep on a high level for older dudes. i have some old guys to fill my rosters and this season that was what happened to them:

33yo - no drop
34yo - 5 drops, 3 drops on JS
36yo - 2 drops
38yo - 8 drops
40yo - 10 drops

from my experience i can tell Jump Shot is very hard to keep on a high level for older dudes.

I think that was just random. In fact, a few of my players have lost every skill *except* jump shot! This guy (10282407) even had decent shooting ability into his 50s. His jump shot finally fell to awful last season, but keep in mind that the rest of his skills have been atrocious (1) for a very long time.

Plus I've had a couple of players in their late 40s get pops in jump shot and hold onto it for a while.
