Tutorial is for new players that have many useless players so it's no big deal to fire one of them.
Also, I'm worried that forcing new players to refer a friend might make them skittish.
It is a way for free advertisement. If you don't assume to play that game, write your own e-mail adress.
I've played this game for 10 seasons longer than you, you don't think I understand that? I am stating specifically for older teams, the firing thing makes no sense. I realize that it is great advice for new teams, that's why I didn't criticize it's implementation for that group.
I also understand it is free advertisement. But try and imagine you are a new player that just discovered this game. Having the game ask you for a friends email in order to get ahead in the game would be a little annoying and you might wonder if they will continue to ask for things like this in the futute to make gains. It just gives the game a "candy crush" feel where you wonder if your involvement in it will piss off your friends and relatives.
