There's probably a thread about this already, or ten, but does anyone know how a staff member's career works?

Since we don't see the history of a trainer, we only know who is selling him, we can't tell how long they were on certain teams, how many teams they were on, etc...

Also, I'm curious if there has ever been any info shared on how staff salaries work.
Clearly, they go up when on a team by a set percentage each week, but when they get replaced, or fired, how is it determined how far back down their salaries fall? Is it random? Is it always the same starting point for a specific staff member? Does it drop by a certain percentage based on level?

All these things may be secret and part of what we are not allowed to know, but has anyone ever figured this out?

Thanks,

Iguanadon

I'm following a couple staff that I dropped off of my USA team and my Utopia.
Looks like they both dropped 15% in salary, but neither of them are back on the market yet.
They were dropped 1 and 2 weeks ago.

The only thing I can add is that I fired a minimal level staff member once and he was available to be purchased for a salary under 2000, but obviously wouldn't be found on the transfer search. If there's a staff member you don't mind having level 1 at permanently and are crazy enough to go through the work of hiring/firing/rehiring the guy (and if the math works out), in theory you might be able to get his salary low enough that it would beat having a default level 1 guy. I didn't bother investigating it any further because it's a really silly exploit at most.

I posted in the bug forum an (advanced or competent) trainer with 800 weekly salary...

Edit: Sorry it was 1200 salary and a PR, not a trainer...
