What's up guys? I"m back in Division 4, this time with teams of my caliber. I'm currently training my PG beast Irving Williams. I hope you don't mind ToddPowers, I will be doing those reviews you do in my league as well. If you guys could take a look at my conference and tell me what you think, that would be great. I want to know what you think about my new competition. I believe I'm in the much weaker conference, but I'd like something more in depth.

Nope, I don't mind at all. I'll shoot you a PM once I get a chance to look over your league.

Welcome to all newcomers to Division IV.1! This is a pretty competitive league and I hope you enjoy your time here. I hope everyone had a merry Christmas as well!

Unless you upgrade your team, you will be fortunate NOT to be relegated. 2-3 wins with that roster would not surprise me.

Not every Division IV league is the same. Most of the teams in my conference have around the same kind of talent that I do. Besides, I'm shooting for 6th place anyways, no need to fight for a playoff spot.

Alright, my picks of the finals are St. Louis Redbirds and the Southside Renegades.

Your prediction came one season too soon and it could be correct this time around.

I don’t know how your current $92k payroll compares to the other teams in your league. Your highest paid player makes only $12k per week and he is 34 years old. A few scrubs is fine but you have 9 players making $2k-$4k per week.

An 18 man roster is too big to manage. You need to trim your roster and don’t bring in anymore old players like your last 3.

You have some work to do for you to survive that league.

Season 26 has arrived. As always there are 5 new teams joining us. We have a Division III relegated team called Flash Masters. They are in a rebuilding mode like Connecticut Cresleys. Flash Masters can save a lot of money with the lowest payroll in the league at $41k and the second largest arena at 15110.

The Big 8 is wide open with several teams competing for 4 playoff spots. St. Louis Redbirds with a $244k payroll is the pre-season pick to win the Big 8. Their starting center Moshe Felder got a big fat raise from $68k to $99k. The Redbirds current payroll will be very difficult to afford in this league.

If Flash Masters or Connecticut Cresleys build up their roster the Big 8 will be even stronger. Even new team Dwins with a higher payroll than ATX can compete for a playoff spot. The problem with Dwins and ATX is that they have 5000 arenas that severely limit their revenue.

In the Great 8 Southside Renegades with 2 straight appearances in the Finals are the team to beat. South Beach Heat, Dabulls22, and new team Bethlehem Braves will battle for the remaining playoff spots. On paper Bethlehem Braves look like the best new team with a $161k payroll and a 12k arena. They definitely could make the playoffs playing in the Great 8.

Welcome to all the new teams and good luck to everyone.

The new season is underway. On opening day we had a big surprise.

ATX with their $118k payroll beat St. Louis Redbirds with their $231k payroll 100-85.

Buckets put up the best numbers of the day in offense, defense, rebounds, blocked shots, PD, and ratings although it came against the team with the lowest payroll in the Great 8 as they beat Portland Gunners 125-54.

S.R. Panthers had a big win at home over Taki Boyz 121-96.

New Prague Trojans with their small payroll pulled off an upset over Dabulls22 104-86.

New team Bethlehem Braves on the road held the high flying South Beach Heat to 92 points but lost the game 92-88.

For Tuesday the best games could be:

S.R. Panthers (1-0) @ St. Louis Redbirds (0-1): These teams could compete for the top spot in the Big 8.

S.R. Panthers could make a strong push for finishing in 1st place in the Big 8 after finishing 2nd last season.

St. Louis Redbirds with the largest payroll in the league need to win this game to avoid falling 2 games behind in the stronger conference.

ATX (1-0) @ Mighty Spartans (1-0): These teams were both in the playoffs last season.

ATX does well with a small payroll that has 9 players in their 30’s and a minimum size arena as they were in the playoffs last season and they beat the Redbirds on opening day.

Mighty Spartans have been in the playoffs for a league record 10 straight seasons.

Connecticut Cresley (1-0) @ Taki Boyz (0-1): These teams are both former Division III teams with large arenas that can compete for a playoff spot despite each having 8 players in their 30’s.

Connecticut Cresleys look better than they did last season and they currently have the 3rd largest payroll in the Big 8.

Taki Boyz were in the playoffs 2 seasons ago and they had the league’s leading scorer the previous 2 seasons.

Buckets (1-0) @ Bethlehem Braves (0-1): These teams could battle for a playoff spot in the Great 8.

Buckets were in the playoffs in their 2 seasons here and they had the best numbers on opening day.

Bethlehem Braves look like the best new team and they are a definite playoff contender in the Great 8.

It'll be interesting to see how the new guess offense system will work throughout the season... So far, I was hurt by it... Personally I thought that choosing Defense types was a good way to counteract an offensive focus, but with the addition of this new gameday guessing, we're gonna have to shake up the strategies a lot. But nice update! Looks cool!
