On behalf of the Australian Buzzerbeater Basketball Community I would like to congratulate Skylor and the Dumprings for drafting and then training the 20yo Christopher Birss , into the initial Season 24 Australian Under 21 team.

A full write up of the team can be found at (244355.20) with discussions starting at (244355.1)

Details of:
The free mentoring that is available
Who to talk to if you are interested in training a player into the Under 21s National team

Can all be found in the above mentioned thread

Congrats again to Skylor

Good luck tonight for the finals Balwyn, look forward to the game. I believe I have the edge in roster comparison but an injury or bad tactics give you a genuine chance. Been a very quiet season lol.

Thanks mate, been a little disappointing tbh, was hoping for more competitive teams but I haven't won yet but should.... Held off the urge to buy this season and even sold my starting SF at season start. Needed to build some cash for the aquistions I no doubt will need to stay up and start building in div II.

Yeah mate you should have this finals series in the bag!!!

You will definitely need at least 1 big acquisition to stay in Div II next season. I'd say a $100k PF/C would do the trick, but you'll have to assess once you land up here.

Yeah looking at a gun C or maybe a SF but the latter will likely cost me a packet. Actually looking for both but not willing to spend anymore than about 1.5m for both. I'll what I can get. Would be great if I promoted to II.III lol.

Thanks all and good luck for next season, hope to see some of you in division II sometime in the future as I intend on staying up. Been great competing with you all, especially the coaches of the Airbournes, Balwyn, Myteam, GCMasters and Millers Men who've been here since I was or/and great rivals. Farewell :)

G'day guys,
Nice to be back in a div III league again, hopefully I can stick around beyond a season this time. Exterminators, have we crossed paths before?

Hey guys, as I mentioned earlier I've been bouncing between div 3 and div 4 leagues for a couple of seasons now, are there any of you more experienced/successful teams who have any tips for me? Basically at this stage I have been building up my stadium to generate some cash flow and have a relatively young list that I'm hoping to train up. Any advice would be more than welcome.

Hey mate, just thought I'd give some advice,

Stop building your arena.. it's already one of the biggest in Australia. :) great job.

You need to buy a decent trainer (advanced or better)
and train the HELL out of Lutz-Steffen Hitzfeld and Al Rogers, they are your franchise players.
based on their heights and listed positions, I'd spend a couple seasons while they are young training OD (pressure) and 1on1 for guards. not knowing what their skills are I can't Really give you the best idea.
I'm sure Lutz-Steffen Hitzfeld is on the U21 radar tho.
Train outside skills til Hitzfeld is 21, just hammer them. then go back to inside skills and by the time they're 25/26 you'll have 2 of the best SF/PF's in aus and looking at NT selections.
Should be able to make them dominate for about $100k if you train them right.

other than those 2 guys I would just keep some experiences $20k + players on your list to help you stay in div3, or if you want to promote buy accordingly (depending on your league)

if you train those 2 kids at PG for a few seasons, buy a couple of $50k bigs to keep you competitive, and make sure you have SG/SF with good passing skills... (prolific and above for div 3) that will keep the ball moving to your bigs and help you score on LI offence.

I kind of ramble and am rubbish at constructing these posts... any further questions, feel free to ask.
