I have just had a PG change position to SF.
Can someone please tell me why/how this happens?
And is there any control of it?

I do play players, where I think they should play, rather than the nominated positions.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. Please point me to that thread if so.
Thanks

The recommended position is the position at which the player's salary is the highest.
The fact that your player changed position from PG to SF means that his salary is the highest as SF.

The only way to control it is to train primary skills for PG and his recommended position will become PG again. But really, I don't follow the recommended position. They're just to give you an idea of where he could play, not where he must play.
You don't need to worry about it much.

totally agree.

one of my french player was listed/labelled as a SF, but he played better at SG position. (you can see the rating of Alan Malbranque's games.) SG (98107404) vs SF (98207683)

such label possibly means that the salary in SF formula was used.

Malbranque wasn't even playing when the post you replied to was posted.

In the 2011 post you replied to this is stated as a fact. You describe it as a possibility. It is a fact so resurrecting this long dead thread was worse than pointless as you actually managed to make it less clear.
