Do scrimmage minutes count toward experience? Do cup minutes give more experience than league minutes - basically do all games count the same for experience?

National games give more experience than cup games.
Cup games give more experience than league games.
League games give more experience than scrimmages.

Okay. Any idea about the difference in weightage?

No idea sorry.
It is something that is very hard to work out because so many different players play different combinations and due to sublevels and possible randomness in experience increments it is almost impossible to work out to any degree of accuracy.

Do playoff games count as league games? If they do, do they count toward more experience than league games?
Also, so this confirms that players get experience in scrimmages?

My understanding is that playoff game count more than league games. But this is very hard to prove.
My understanding is also that scrimmages do count for experience but very small amount.
Again, this is all very hard to prove.

Playoffs count as more than a regular league game.

To add to Nakers answer about why it is so tough to predict or pin point. It is pretty common thought that experience is based on minutes played not games. So the fractions get pretty small if you start doing the math based on the varied percentages per minute.

Ok thanks.

I posted this in the other experience thread but it wasnt answered:

this was posted 3 years ago, and I'm wondering if it is still true:

experience means more than just minutes logged.. it means minutes logged in key situations, having the ability to make key decisions.. etc..

If it is still true:
By "key situations" does it mean close games (For example, playing 5 minutes in the 4th quarter of a tie game versus playing 5 minutes while blowing out the other team) or does "key situations" refer to the importance of the game (scrimmage, league, playoff, cup, etc.)

Unfortunately there is no one that knows the answer to that except a BB. Any answer we provide is simply guess work.
Personally I don't think that experience is dependant on what happens in a game. I think it would be far too complex to code and will provide very little benefit to the game. It would be far easier to base experience on how many minutes are played rather than whether a game went to over time or was a close game or not.

seems like this was posted by a BB, though again, it was 3 years ago, so I'll assume it's just based on minutes played.

I think that post was about how draftees can have different experience coming in.
