Is it wise to play a high pace offense against a FCP defense? I would assume that it is preferable to play a low pace offense in order to limit turnovers, but I've seldom played aginst this defense (if ever) so I would like to hear an opinion.

More specifically, assuming there's no other reason to prefer one over the other, would you rather play Motion or Run and Gun?

Don't use players with bad handling and bad passing it may cost you some turnovers.

Against a FCP, RnG is better. The more you pass the ball around trying to find a good shot in motion, the more likely you are to turn the ball over so it is better to tell your players to take the first decent look available with a RnG tactic

No, the fast pace offence produced more turnovers and bad looks and RNG is fastest, motion is better.

No. Motion tries to find a good shot by passing the ball around. While you pass the ball around you are more likely to turn the ball over due to a FCP defense. You are better off playing RnG. True your shots might not be as good as those if you try motion but at least you get a shot off.

I know what motion is, but against FCP is better than RNG that all i am saying, you get much more turnovers with RNG and with motion you get more easy baskets against FCP

Why would you have more turnovers using RnG against a FCP?

1. You take a the shot possibly before the defense even setting

2. You take "decent" shots instead of "good" shots so you are more likely to take a shot earlier in the shot clock. Passing the ball around trying to find a good shot is more likely to result in a TO.

3. "easy" baskets depend a lot more than what tactic you play. FCP is right up on your defender trying to force a TO. If your players aren't good passers they will result in a TO. Might as well reduce shot quality and get a shot off which is better than no shot at all.

Could even itself out . RnG more missed shots and Motion more turnovers. Equals similar amount of lost possession.
