no. if you get him you don't get the whole amount yourself (the normal percentages).

You can report managers for overpriced players. That is against the rules. I recommend not bidding on the overpriced player, and report it. If you do bid on an overpriced player, you might wind up getting banned yourself.

well he is running a risk that if you or any other manager doesn't bid anymore than he will be:

1. Stuck with the player
2. Pay transfer fee for his own player
3. transfer % resets so when he does try to sell him he will make less and less

and i think that player now counts as a "new" player for the team so you can lose merchandising too

but i think it is fine to bid on your player if you listed him for the wrong starting price

doing the bidding in the last few minutes is a bit unethical and my response would be to stop bidding unless i REALLY needed the player and he was still at a good price

Its not. You will pay taxes if you buy him back and your fans will act like he is new player. So on the best case scenario you will lose 3% (if you buy him) of your money plus the fans affect.

I don't think it is unethical. I put my draftee up for sale the other day, he had superstar potential and 4k+ salary and was 18 years old with a good height. I listed him at 1k starting price, and 2 minutes before the transfer deadline he was only on 20k. In my opinion that was way too little for him, and so I outbid the guy to make sure I kept him, he is worth a lot more to me on my team than getting 20k, and considering I get 97% of what I bid back it barely cost me anything to keep him.

Might work for you but right now if you want to list him again you only get 80% of the proceeds.

Though from what you are describing you will still make a nice profit even at 80%
