It all depends where you are picking as well. If you are top of your league, spending 40k a week on scouting is a waste. There will be 15 teams picking before you so the chances are extremely rare that you will still be able to pick a really good player. Personally, 40k is overkill. Unless you get a really good player in the draft (and this can be really random at times), then it becomes a waste. 20k a week for 3 scout reports are better

Even with 40k a week scouting you won't get as much information as you like. For example i scouted 40k a week most of last season and got:

15 players fully scouted - position, age, box score, star rating (current skills), grade, potential rating (future ability)
24 players scouted once - position, box score, star rating
9 players unscouted

So you can see even with full scouting there will be holes. In my example there was 33 players who i didn't know there age or potential which are 2 impoirtant things you want to know.

But by decreasing your amount of money spent on scounting, you would have gotten less information.

Yeah i was just answering the question as to how much information you get by investing the full amount. So all in all the draft is a bit of a gamble but i like to gamble.

normally you got 7 more pieces of information if you scout the full season with 40k(maybe cheaper system in the end of the last season?)

Yeah 20k a week is probably the best value for money

14x40k=560k! fair price for a youngster you can train and who pushes your merchendise a little bit. but you are right, if you expect to much you end up fairly disappointed.

As i found my league average only spending $14.5K on scouting, i decided to spend $40K scouting per week this season, expecting to gain more information on draft.

In order to re-build my team, i am trying to secure position 6 for relagation playoff to gain gate receipt revenue. Besides i can have better chance to get potential players.

Let's see who i will get finally.
